The Federal Security Information Department affiliated with the Directorate General of Federal Criminal Police at the Ministry of Interior organized a specialized workshop in cooperation with the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development. The workshop was held at Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club with the participation of a number of departments from the Ministry of Interior.

Brigadier Mohammed Ghadir Al Ketbi, Deputy Director General of the Federal Criminal Police at the Ministry of Interior, delivered a speech upon commencement of the workshop and stressed the commitment to maintain an effective work environment among police authorities and of the need to take part in developing methods of police work.

“Police work is an essential foundation for internal security; of which is designed to maintain the highest sense of security and safety,” he said.  He then pointed out that the UAE police institutions have achieved a remarkable level of success in building a professional policing system. “This has been achieved through developing relevant strategies and polices in order to prevent and reduce crime and through conducting studies and analyses in security fields.”

Brigadier Al Ketbi praised the various police institutions in the country for their efforts in fighting crime and drug trafficking through cooperation and coordination with other institutions, and for their efforts in striving to reach the most effective crime prevention strategies.  

In the conclusion of his speech, he said: “I have the utmost confidence that the participants of this workshop will effectively and constructively contribute their ideas in finding new methods for the development of police and security work, and in the fight against drugs and crime.” He then thanked the participants and the organizers of the workshop, wished them all the success, and prayed to God Almighty to bless the UAE with safety and security.  

During the workshop, Colonel Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed, Head of the Federal Security Information Department, reviewed a number of issues pertaining to the workshop’s topics, including the most important outcomes, in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior.
