MoI Receives Project Management Office Award during the First UAE Conference on Excellence
The First UAE Conference on Excellence in Project and Risk Management in Megaprojects awarded the General Directorate for Engineering Projects at the Ministry of Interior with the Project Management Office award at the institutional level. The conference, organized by the UAE Society of Engineers, kicked off today in Dubai.
This year’s award was received by Brigadier Dr. Engineer Saif Hamdan Rashid Al Ka'bi, the director of the General Directorate of Engineering Projects at the Ministry of Interior. “This award embodies the keenness of the Ministry to promote leadership and excellence along the path of achieving the strategic objectives,” he said.
“The Directorate obtained this award after a fierce competition with several distinct organizations,” said Al Ka’bi, hailing the great support provided by the police leadership. “Winning this award was made possible by the police leadership who have contributed to strengthening performances in the areas of police work.”
Adding further, Al Ka’bi highlighted the importance of participating in the First UAE Conference on Excellence in Project and Risk Management in Megaprojects and recognized its support for all aspects of creativity that both institutions and individuals in the UAE strive for. “The conference provides optimal investments to encourage the UAE’s human resources; the creation of a work environment that spurs creativity and innovation; and the knowledge transfer of useful experiences. The conference is a key step in assisting us to reach the sustainable creativity that we seek, through providing the opportunity to further improve ideas, proposals, and possibilities.”
It is noteworthy that the MoI is a strategic sponsor for the First UAE Conference on Excellence in Project and Risk Management in Megaprojects. The Ministry will be participating in the exhibition held along the sidelines of the conference through a pavilion displaying its major engineering projects.
