The Directorate General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior organized a workshop on knowledge transfer in the area of internal security operations. The workshop, which was held in cooperation and coordination with the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development, took place at the Conference Hall at the ministry’s headquarters.
This workshop falls in line with the implementation of the Ministry of Interior’s strategic plan aimed at exchanging knowledge between experts in various fields. Attending the workshop were Brigadier Fares Khalifa Al Farsi, Director General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior; Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director General, Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General, as well as a number of senior officers from various police sectors.
Towards the beginning of the workshop, Colonel Salim Abdullah Al Habsi, Chief of the Crises and Disasters Section at the Directorate General of Central Operations discussed the objectives of the workshop and the importance of knowledge transfer in the area of internal security operations among all the Ministry’s staff members and various units. He also underlined the importance of coordination with relevant and competent entities at the Knowledge Centre at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development.
For his part, Captain Mubarak Humaid bin Dalmouk, Director of the Knowledge Centre delivered a brief presentation on the knowledge exchange mechanisms and the knowledge policy adopted by the Ministry. He also highlighted the objectives and the different areas of knowledge at the Center.
