A delegation from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) recently visited the exhibition of the Security in Government (SIG) conference in Canberra, Australia, which was held at the beginning of the month. The delegation was headed by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016).

The delegation was received by H.E Dr. Obeid Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia.

This visit comes within the ongoing preparations to organize the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016) and to invite international companies to participate in the exhibition in its next edition scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi from 15 – 17 March.

During its visit to the exhibition, the MoI delegation met with a number of officials from the Australian security authorities and discussed a number of topics of common interest alongside the methods for promoting cooperation and collaboration in various fields of security.

The delegation also toured the exhibition and visited a number of pavilions representing participating Australian and international companies specialized in manufacturing security equipment and systems. The delegation was briefed on the companies’ displayed items that included the latest and most advanced technologies and technical devices in the field of safety and security.

The MoI delegation included Brigadier Dr. Jassim Ibrahim Al Mansouri; Brigadier Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi; Brigadier Rashid Suhail Al Ali; Lt. Colonel Faisal Mohammed Al Shammari; Major Saeed Mubarak Al Mansouri; and Captain Khalifa Abdullah Al Obaidli alongside a number of members from the Higher Organizing Committee for the ISNR.
