61 players under the age of 18 along with their coaching staff in Al Ain Sports Club attended an awareness lecture titled “The Law Respect Culture and Sports Ethics” organized by the Law Respect Culture Bureau, at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

First Lieutenant Abdullah Mohammed Al Muhairi of the Law Respect Culture Bureau said that the office seeks to strengthen the aspects of cooperation and community partnership with the various institutions of society in a way that reflects the spirit of cooperation. He continued that this aims to benefit young generation and promote their positive perceptions and their sense of belonging to homeland.

Al Muhairi shed light on the importance and benefits of sports for humans, in terms of self-discipline and acquiring perfect sportive health, as well the role of sports in instilling good morals. “Sports are a self-discipline mechanism before being an achievement of winning titles and cups. There are some statements and goals that reflect the moral and humanitarian concepts of football which is the most popular sport in the world” he said.

He pointed to the morals and ethics that should resonate with the football clubs, players and fans all over the world, including the unification of peoples, the contribution to human and societal positive change, and the spirit of athletic competition based on the proper sporting manners. He explained how important is to respect the opponent, not to offend him, and not to verbally utter any word beyond the context of morals. He stressed that improper behaviors of clubs or team fans will expose the club or the team to penalties.
