Law Respect Culture Bureau Educates 90 Students about Patriotism
The Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, organized a lecture about the concept of patriotism titled “Patriotism is a Responsibility” for 90 students at Al Zayedia Secondary School for Girls in Al Ain.
In his address to students, First Lieutenant Abdullah Mohammed Al Muhairi gave an overview of the progressive patriotism, active citizenship, and national duties. He discussed with students the notions of loyalty and belonging to the country. He said: “Patriotism is more than flashy slogans and enthusiastic chants, because the greatest gift we could offer to our country is our loyalty that goes beyond selfishness and self-interests, to sacrifice every minute and breath for the sake of building this country”.
Additionally, he He explained that patriotism means adhering to national values and behaviors, representing the UAE in a praiseworthy manner in international forums, to ensure that the UAE flag remains fluttering high. First Lieutenant Al Muhairi also urged students to learn the history of the UAE, take pride in the Emirati identity, adhere to customs and traditions, observe the values of loyalty, sincerity, and honesty and maintain the UAE heritage.
