As part of its legal awareness program, the Law Respect Culture Bureau, at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior organized a set of lectures under the title “Positive Patriotism and the Risks of using Electronic Communication Tools”. The lectures targeted female Elementary and High School students from the Ashbal Al Quds Secondary School for Girls, Al Montaha Secondary School and Al Asayel Elementary School, along with a number of educators and a crowd of female students.
First Lieutenant Juma’a Mohammed Al Hosani from the Law Respect Culture Bureau explained that the Bureau, as a part of its activities, aims to enhance cooperation and partnership with the various community institutions. This would reflect positively on the wellbeing young people, by instilling positive values in them, developing their leadership character and promoting their sense of patriotism.
First Lieutenant Al Hosani gave an overview of the patriotism concept, the components of good citizenship, national duties, loyalty and belonging. He said: “Patriotism is more than flashy slogans and enthusiastic chants, because the greatest gift we could offer to our country is our loyalty that goes beyond selfishness and self-interests, to sacrifice every minute and breath for the sake of building this country.”
The lecturer displayed photos that showcase love for the country and stories of loyalty and dedication demonstrated by a number of Emirati leaders who were role models of patriotism, who endeavored to elevate the names of the UAE, to maintain its achievements and reflect its bright cultural image across all forums and events. “Such values have contributed to a distinguished level of respect and appreciation for the UAE and for Emirati nationals among other people across various parts of the world,” he noted.
