Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Head of the Permanent Higher Commission for Internal Security, chaired the commission’s periodic meeting that was held at the Federal Police School in Sharjah.

The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, previous decisions taken and implemented by the commission, as well as the strategic initiatives in the field of internal security, joint coordination mechanisms and training programs.

It is worth mentioning that the Permanent Higher Commission for Internal Security holds its meetings in implementation of the Ministerial Decree No. 152 of 2009 issued by Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, with respect to establishing the Commission, which includes director generals and police chiefs at the UAE level, as well as civil defense.

The meeting was attended by police chiefs and director generals, members of the Committee; and a number of officers.
