The Coordinating Committee of the Federal Community Police at the Ministry of Interior recently held a meeting, under the chairmanship of Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Director General of the Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the General Secretariat of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

The meeting was attended by all of the members, along with heads of departments and chiefs of sections at the Community Police and the Social Support at the countrywide level. The attendees discussed a number of objectives and topics related to the Community Police’s field applications as applied at some police stations.

Colonel Bin Muhairom said that the meeting is a part of the MoI’s strategy, aimed at improving police work and attaining the highest levels of performance. “The meeting discussed the Community Police’s field applications that are applied in police stations in order to reach a unified model for Community Police’s applications across all police stations across the country, in addition to complementing the development of police performance, especially in the field of Community Policing and Social Support," he said.

Additionally, the Director General of the Community Protection and Crime Prevention pointed out that the meeting also discussed the results of the community policing concept implementation in the Emirates of Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman during the current year. Furthermore, he praised the achievements made in both emirates that have gone to great lengths to spread the concept amongst the different segments, which has garnered a positive public response with the activities of the Community Police officers and achieved high rates of satisfaction with the community partnership.
