Staff members enrolled in the Ministry of Interior’s first Distinguished Leadership Competencies Program that is supervised by the Creativity and Leadership Development Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, recently reviewed the projects and initiatives carried out by the Directorate General of Civil Defense. They were also acquainted with the most important challenges facing this vital sector and its valuable role in protecting lives and property.
Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, met with staff members taking part in the program at the Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense GHQ. He stressed the importance of such programs that contribute to developing human resource capabilities and promoting institutional performance across the ministry.
The visit is a part of the first Distinguished Leadership Competencies Program’s curricula, which aims to acquaint candidates with the main sectors at the Ministry of Interior, review the sector’s initiatives, and leverage leaders’ expertise in this area.
For his part, Lt. Colonel Dr. Omar Ibrahim Al Ali, Director of the Leadership Development Center, stressed the importance of successfully passing the program’s different stages and completing the requirements of the leadership diploma. “The leadership diploma was designed and implemented with the most sophisticated training institutions based on the MoI’s basic leadership competencies, as well as the leadership meeting program in order to pass on the experience and expertise of leaders to others. Moreover, internal and external field visits are also organized in this regard, with the aim of reviewing the best leadership practices,” he concluded.
