The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi recently organized a blood drive in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank (ADBB) at the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (HAAD).  The drive embodies the directorate’s strategy and its role in serving the local community and supporting charitable organizations and communities by providing various forms of humanitarian assistance.

While donating blood, Colonel Yusuf Ismail Al Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, stressed the keenness to communicate with society institutions, demonstrate the positive role, promote health education among staff members and community members and highlight the many benefits of blood donation.

For his part, Major Majed Abdullah Al Tamimi, Chief of the Media and Public Relations Section emphasized the importance of these humanitarian initiatives due to their role in instilling human values and promoting the concept of social solidarity. He pointed that the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs’ sector constantly organizes blood drives throughout the year in cooperation with the Blood Bank, in support of this humanitarian deed.
