Colonel Waleed Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College, gave a lecture to university students enrolled in the 27th batch of recruits. The lecture was held in Al Etihad Hall at the Police College.

Colonel Al Shamesi said: “As per the ongoing directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and according to the ministry's plan, the main focus is on training outcomes, and the importance of continuous and advanced education to qualify the appropriate human cadres to work as police officers. As a part of this training, candidates receive the most prestigious and modern academic and applied police sciences, to empower them to carry out their policing tasks, and improve their societal responsibilities in various legal and humanitarian fields.”

Colonel Al Shamesi underscored the importance of teamwork and dedicating attention to human cadres, according to the Ministry of Interior’s strategy, notably enforcing justice, as well as good manners, integrity, and loyalty, which represent societal responsibilities.  He also underlined the importance of seeking excellence in performance and being a role model in dedication and loyalty to work.

A short documentary was shown during the lecture showcasing the importance of integration and teamwork in policing. Then, the floor was opened for a Q&A discussion between the lecturer and the students. The lecture was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Police College Deputy Director, as well as heads of departments and sections, Police College officers, supervisors and trainers of the university students’ batch.
