Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, paid a visit to the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience “ISNR 2016.” His tour included a number of pavilions where he was briefed about the latest innovations by manufacturers of security systems and solutions. He also visited the pavilions of a number of national and international participating companies and reviewed the latest systems and equipment used in the security and policing sector.

During his visit he was accompanied by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of ISNR 2016.

Lt. General Al Sha’far stressed that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the best countries in the world in terms of security, with one of the lowest crime rates. He noted that security challenges are common and similar between the countries of the region and the rest of the world, notably cross-border crimes and drugs; as no country has a single certain security challenge.

In a statement he made at the conclusion of the ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016 events, Lt. General Al Sha’far said that the importance of the exhibition lies in getting familiarized with the latest international equipment, devices and technologies in the fields of security, safety and resilience. He added that the exhibition has won international fame, making it one of the most important exhibitions worldwide in the areas of security, safety and resilience. Moreover, a large number of companies and highly experienced international security institutions took part in the event, showcasing their latest experiences and equipment in the field of security.

Lt. General Al Sha’far pointed out that ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016 displayed state-of-the-art of equipment and experiences in the global markets of safety and security. This made the exhibition an opportunity for the UAE, the region, and the world to share the expertise and experiences involving this equipment. It is also a chance for the security authorities and the civil sector to take advantage of sharing this international expertise.
