Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, met on Monday with the leaders of GCC delegations taking part in the 2015 Global Meeting on Search and Rescue. The meeting is organized by the Ministry of Interior, represented by Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate, in cooperation with the United Nations’ International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
During the meeting, which was held at the ministry, attendees discussed various issues of common interest as well as the methods of promoting collaboration and coordination in the area of civil defense; and search and rescue between the GCC interior ministries.
The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior; Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Obeid Al Zaabi, from the Public Relations Department; and officers accompanying the GCC heads of delegations.
