The Social Support Center in Al Ain city organized multiple social events and visits to sick children in children’s clinics and hospitals, including a visit to Ain Al Khaleej Hospital. These events are a part of the Center’s Ramadan program held under the slogan “Spreading Goodness in Ramadan”, in observance for Zayed Humanitarian Work Day. The visits were carried out by the Community Affairs Branch at the Centre, in line with the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness and attention to family and community issues; and emphasize the role of the family in society.

The visit focused on building a strong relation with children and bringing joy to their heart, out of the firm belief that children are the main pillar of the community’s progress and development, in the past, present and future. The team members visited the different children's rooms, and chatted with the children to inquire about their needs. The team also gave parents an overview of the role and objectives of the Social Support Centers and provided them with guidance brochures on how to nurture children and communicate with them. The team members also distributed gifts to children.

For their part, parents of hospitalized children expressed their gratitude and happiness for this humanitarian gesture, which reflects the attention dedicated by the Social Support Centers Department to community members. They also praised the department’s keenness to communicate with community members and cater to their needs of well-being and security.

The Centre also distributed Ramadan food baskets to poor and needy families. The baskets are intended to alleviate the burdens on needy families during the holy month and help them prepare good meals. The recipient families expressed their happiness and appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the department.
