A delegation from the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman reviewed the achievements and initiatives of the Human Resources Department at Abu Dhabi Police, as well as its efforts in applying the best advanced standards and practices.

The delegation was welcomed by Brigadier Obeid Salem Al Kutbi, Head of Human Resources at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ). He stressed the police leadership’s keenness to enhance mutual cooperation by conducting benchmarking, and exchanging experiences with national institutions in line with its vision to to upgrade the levels of performance and the system of police work.

“Conducting benchmarking studies with an elite group of national institutions and exchanging experiences with them contribute to developing strategic plans and projects and institutional performance by comparing their performance with the best performance indicators. This aims to enhance opportunities for improvement and development,” he added.

The visiting delegation listened to an explanation given by the Human Resources Department officers, about the work tasks and the operational plans and services it provides. It was also briefed about the Job Performance Evaluation systems used at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ (HOPAS) and the global model related to the impact of training standards (KIRKPATRICK); as well as the level of progress and efforts of the department in the development of various scientific, technical and human fields.

The delegation also reviewed the work systems used; the mechanisms of identifying the needs of human resources; promotions and bonuses; methods of data processing; job analysis; methods of job classification; and performance measurement standards for employees. Concluding the visit, both parties exchanged commemorative shields and gifts.
