The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi commemorated the auspicious occasion of Isra and Mi’raj and organized a religious lecture on Thursday. The lecture was delivered by Sheikh Mahmoud Abdul Rahman Al Dakkak, Preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The lecturer said that the commemoration was a god instance to learn lessons from the Isra and Mi’raj holy journey, and explained the verses from the Holy Quran in Surat Al Isra. “The Isra and Mi’raj journey was an honor bestowed on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from Almighty Allah,” he pointed out.
The lecture was attended by Colonel Yusuf Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi; heads of departments; chiefs of sections; as well as staff members and customers.
Towards the end of the lecture that took place at the mosque of the General Headquarters’ building, Colonel Yusuf Khouri honored the lecturer and presented him with a certificate of appreciation and esteem.
