The Special Tasks Department of the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters graduated 17 members from the VIP protection advanced course which was held in cooperation with the German Ministry of Interior.

Colonel Mohammad Obeid Al Dhaheri, Chief of the VIP Protection Section, while honoring the graduates, reiterated the keenness and interest of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to provide support for the police members. This includes holding and organizing many courses that hone the skills of police personnel in cooperation with the most prestigious global police departments.

He also praised the efforts made by the members of the course, and their constant enthusiasm to positively interact with the training activities and programs. He wished them further success in their professional careers, and commended the efforts of the German Police’s training experts and the high-level training they provided for the graduates.

The members of the VIP protection advanced course took practical exercises about self-defense techniques for protecting VIPs, VIP protection formations, field first aid, and tactical shooting.

The course graduation was attended by Major Faisal Ali Al Kathiri, Chief of the Training Section at the Special Tasks Department at the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks, and Captain Yousef Ali Al Shaibani, the Public Relations Branch Manager at the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks, and the military attaché at the German Embassy.
