The Abu Dhabi Police have honored a number of retired officers in appreciation for their dedicated efforts in developing police work. The recognition serves to encourage the retirees to continue giving back in their post-retirement years.

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police, Head of the Retirees Honoring Committee, stressed the keenness and the attention paid to the retirees by Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He pointed out that throughout their years of fruitful work; the retirees have played their part in elevating security and police work and in serving the community. He noted that their work does not end with retirement, rather, it is merely considered to be the beginning of a new phase for serving the homeland.

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran honored the retired officers and hailed their efforts in serving the country as he distributed certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts. The honorees expressed their gratitude for this initiative by the Abu Dhabi Police, along with their pride in the achievements of the Ministry of Interior in maintaining the security and stability of the UAE. The honored retirees stressed that they will steadfastly remain as loyal soldiers to the wise leadership.

The honoring was attended by Brigadier Mohammed Rashid Kasheem Mubarak Al Shamesi, Head of the Diwan Department; and Colonel Dr. Khalfan Tariq Al Kendi, Director of Personnel Affairs Department at Abu Dhabi Police.

Major General Badran delivered the certificates of appreciation and the gifts to the honorees in appreciation for their efforts in the police field.
