Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate discussed the 2016 plan and its implementation mechanisms in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy and reviewed the results of 2015 during a meeting that gathered Major General Nasser Salem Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Federal Civil Defense Sector Development Council; Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Civil Defense General Commander-in-chief in the Ministry of Interior; and the Directorate General’s directors, officers and individuals.
Major General Al Nuaimi stressed Abu Dhabi Police’s desire to improve the public safety standards and increase the efficiency of the Civil Defense elements in order to provide the public with the best prompt services. He also stressed the importance of promoting public safety awareness among members of the community in order to avoid accidents.
Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Abdullah Ahmed Al Ansari, Director General of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi, announced the implementation of a redistribution plan for the geographical jurisdiction of centers affiliated with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate. This will lead to a shorter response time across all regions by using a number of smart programs that decrease the amount of response time, limit the loss of lives and property, and increase the community’s trust in the quality of services provided, at a low cost through leveraging existing resources.
“The Ministry is responsible for the focus on increasing social awareness in the Civil Defense and Public Safety sector to protect people from accidents, spread the culture of prevention, encourage the inclination towards individual responsibility, and inform about public safety requirements at home and work as a strategic support to Civil Defense,” he said.
He then emphasized the commitment to increasing the efficiency and performance of the technical staff. This will be done through programs that increase performance skills and professionalism, undertake initiatives, enhance prompt responses, increase accuracy in work, foster a high level of responsibility; and use modern techniques to complete required tasks.
