Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, represented by the Al Ain Traffic Section, participated in the activities for the Al Ain Reads Book Show. The event is organized in collaboration and coordination with the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and the National Library.

Major Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Acting Head of Al Ain Traffic Section, highlighted the keenness of the Ministry of Interior to implement the vision of the UAE and to become one of the best countries in the world in the levels of safety and security. “The week-long participation in the show, which was held at the Al Ain Convention Center in the Al Khabisi area, embodies the strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters in regards to achieving traffic safety and to increasing the level of awareness in each segment of society. To achieve an overall traffic culture, we are keen to connect and stay involved through various social activities,” he said.

First Lieutenant Nasser Khalifa Al Shamesi, Public Relations Branch Manager, stated that the branch personnel participated in setting up an exhibition to represent the Al Ain Traffic Section in the show. In regards to the exhibition, he said: “The booth covered many activities for children, which included daily traffic awareness competitions on the stage, distributing awareness brochures regarding safety rules and adherence to the rules of driving and traffic, and how to avoid accidents. There was also a display of the police motorcycle patrol (Polaris patrol) which is used during the winter months to reach the various off-road and recreational areas that exhibit a high-volume of quad bikes.”
