Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, launched the Second Level Leaders Program in the Directorate General of Police Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. This move aims to prepare a number of distinguished competencies in policing operations, which will enhance the provision of services in accordance with the highest standards of institutional excellence. The launch of the new program was carried out in the presence of Major General Omair Muhammad Ateeq Al Muhairi, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police.

During the celebration that was recently held in Abu Dhabi, the Secretary General emphasized the keenness and interest of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in the program. The program is supervised by the Creativity and Leadership Development Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in cooperation with Cambridge University. The program provides studied programs according to the best international practices and serves to prepare Second Level Leaders with skills of distinction and leadership in addition to preparing their readiness to handle responsibility.

Major General Al Nuaimi explained that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has provided all of the necessary opportunities to address the needs for the program and to foster its success. He continued by urging the participants to redouble their efforts and what they have given in order to make the most of the opportunity, wishing them success.

According to Lt. Colonel Dr. Omar Al Ali, Director of the Creativity and Leadership Development Center, 27 Police Operation officers are participating in the program. “The officers were selected based on their experience and the results of the leadership and technical efficiencies evaluation,” he said as he provided a detailed explanation of the program and its goals. “The program includes a variety of activities that aim to refine and develop leadership skills and abilities, which involve meetings with higher police leadership alongside the training and development programs.” The programs include courses that focus on leadership competencies, laws, and the exchange of expertise with distinguished police organizations from Singapore and the United Kingdom.

The program also includes participating in international conferences specialized in the police field, as well as conducting specialized research and studies.
