Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inaugurated the Ninth Knowledge Forum, which was held in the Forensic Evidence Department’s hall at Abu Dhabi Police.

The Forum tackled the role of policies in the bid to develop and upgrade the comprehensive security system adopted by the Ministry of Interior; in light of the general framework of the policy governance and management.

H.E the Secretary General stressed the keenness to invite skilled speakers, specialized in security events that are of global concern in order to benefit from their practical expertise. Major General Al Nuaimi called for pursuing police professionalism, by promoting the necessary skills and expertise, coupled with continuous learning and improvement.

UK’s College of Policing, CEO Chief Constable Alex Marshall gave a presentation showcasing the policing system, which avails of a rich knowledge base to empower appropriate decision-making. He also highlighted the standards and specifications that regulate police work, as well as the adequate training and learning programs.

It is worth mentioning that the Knowledge Forums to exchange knowledge and innovative ideas, organized by the Knowledge Center at the Strategy and Performance Development Department; aim to spread the culture of knowledge across all sectors. Such a notion has become both a scientific and practical reality through the implementation of best practices. The forums represent the perfect opportunity for participants to discuss, exchange views, and learn from distinguished experiences, and to ultimately further develop knowledge through this exchange.
