The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi organized a campaign held at the Directorate General Headquarters to raise awareness about the dangers and harmful effects of smoking. The campaign that took place with the cooperation and coordination of Universal Hospital also aims at spreading the health awareness among the employees and the customers who engaged in medical tests carried out by the medical team.
This campaign falls within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs’ keenness to participate in social and cultural events. The Directorate General is also continuously keen to enhance the cooperation with the governmental institutions.
The campaign activities included the distribution of health awareness brochures; these brochures highlighted the danger of smiling, along with its negative impacts on the smokers and everyone else’s health. Brochures also covered advices and instructions for employees and customers about the ways to quit smoking, and the benefits of quitting.
