The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Selection and Recruitment Department, took part in the ninth Fujairah Careers Fair 2015, which concluded on Thursday. The fair was organized by the Fujairah Government Human Resources Department under the slogan "Innovation, the key to making a glorious history for the UAE”, and took place during 12 - 14 May, at Sheikh Khalifa Hall at the Fujairah Exhibition Center with the participation of a large number of institutions from both public and private sectors.
Colonel Matar Al Shamesi, Head of the Selection and Recruitment Department, pointed out that the Abu Dhabi Police annually participate in the job fairs organized by various entities across the UAE in a bid to attract Emirati job seekers and provide them with distinguished career opportunities. He said: “A team from the Selection and Recruitment Department provided students and recent graduates with an overview regarding the methods and procedures for enrolling at Abu Dhabi Police. The team distributed descriptive brochures regarding the tasks that are usually involved in military and civilian police work and additionally handed out commemorative gifts.”
Adding further, Colonel Al Shamesi underlined that the Abu Dhabi Police prioritize the implementation of the Emiratisation strategy and endeavor to promote it within the ranks of the female and male members of the police force, by providing distinguished and rewarding career opportunities for UAE nationals that are seeking employment opportunities.
It is worth mentioning that a number of workshops and lectures intended for students of public and private schools and universities were held on the sidelines of the Career Fair, and were delivered by representatives of participating companies and exhibitors.
