The Selection and Recruitment Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) has been recognized for the "Best Entity to Attract Competent Emirati Job-Seekers" at the Tawdheef recruitment fair and career exhibition 2016, amongst the various participating institutions. The department was awarded the Platinum Shield.

Brigadier Obeid Salem Al Ketbi, Director General of Human Resources, underlined that Abu Dhabi Police’s participation in Tawdheef 2016 comes in response to the directives of the Police leadership to promote the Emiratization drive and create new job opportunities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. “The Police leadership is keen to attract UAE nationals and provide career opportunities for UAE male and female job-seekers,” he said. Moreover, Brigadier Al Ketbi pointed out that the Abu Dhabi Police pavilion has received thousands of job applications throughout the days of the exhibition.

Adding further, Brigadier Al Ketbi underlined that recruitment fairs help UAE male and female job-seekers to make best use of their skills and qualifications to serve their country, thus contributing in improving work performance in the police field.

As part of the Abu Dhabi Police’s participation in Tawdheef 2016, a team from the Security Support Department at the Directorate General of Security Support delivered a presentation for young people wishing to join the department. The Medical Services Department affiliated to the Directorate General of Finance and Services and the Force 7 Department presented the available job vacancies to attract UAE nationals wishing to enroll.

The Security Inspection Department (K9) presented live police dogs shows, while the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police displayed one of its sports patrol cars on the sidelines of the exhibition.
