The Employees Performance Appraisal Department and the Selection and Recruitment Department of the General Directorate of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police have received the ISO 140001 for Environmental Management System (EMS) and the OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety management systems. The departments earned the two certifications as a result of their efforts in applying the concepts of quality and excellence, spreading a culture of environmental awareness, and committing to the standards of health and safety.
In the presence of a number of officers, Brigadier General Obaid Salem Al Ketbi, Director General of Human Resources, was recognized with the certifications in his office. The certifications were presented by Colonel Mohamed Obaid Bu Ali, Deputy Director of the Employees Performance Appraisal Department, and Captain Ahmed Hassan Al Hosani, Head of the Strategic Planning Section in the Selection and Recruitment Department.
Brigadier General Al Ketbi stressed over Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to support projects of quality and excellence and to provide premium services that contribute to the enhancement of performance indicators. “The application of the environmental management systems and occupational health and safety systems reflects the responsibilities and commitment of the Abu Dhabi Police in caring for the environment and sustainability,” he said.
He credited the completion of the certifications as an achievement that was made possible due to the implementation of Abu Dhabi Police’s quality plans. Praising the dedication of the employees, Brig. Gen. Al Ketbi said their eagerness to provide distinguished services to customers increased the levels of satisfaction and confidence of the customers in accordance with the best international standards.
