A Ministry Of Interior (MoI) member won Sayidaty magazine’s Award for Excellence and Innovation 2016 in the social work category, as a result of her solemn work and the outstanding services provided for the sake of the regeneration of the UAE community.

Maryam Muhammad Al Ahmadi, social researcher at the Leadership Development Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, received Sayidaty magazine’s Award for Excellence & Innovation 2016 from HE Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, in the presence of Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi, Editor of Sayidaty magazine, during a ceremony recently organized by the magazine.

The award represents the culmination of the Arab woman's efforts; it aims to highlight her innovations, to be a role model for generations to come and take her full role in the regeneration of communities. Sayidaty magazine presents this award annually to an Arab women who has proven herself, left her imprint and has proven her excellence in a particular field, so that her experience has reflected positively on the community.

Al Ahmadi expressed her pride in the UAE women's achievements at the local and international level and in various fields and levels. She attributed the reason for the UAE women's achievements to the approach followed by the senior leadership in supporting women and promoting their prominent role as one of the development and success pillars in this generous country. She pointed to the initiatives and projects the MoI is keen to provide in supporting the march and empowerment of women in the field of police work.

She thanked HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak for delivering the award. She also praised the extraordinary efforts of those in charge of the award, the teams and competent jury, for recognizing her with a constellation of creative female candidates for the award categories. She also stressed the importance of the award and its influential role in upgrading the culture of excellence; contributing to boosting social development; generating creative ideas and producing innovative solutions. She said that women will always be a source of inspiration and innovation, a stream for building and a source of loyalty to her country and community.

It is noteworthy that Al Ahmadi has been engaged in many public welfare associations, and she has become known as a community activist. Actively contributing in volunteering and projects in the community, she is also a member of the Higher Committee for the Functioning of Al Mafraq Juveniles Care Center at Abu Dhabi Police.
