The Relations and Guidance Section of the Police College in Abu Dhabi, organized a cultural seminar attended by a number of college officers, staff and students, at Al Ittihad Hall in the college’s headquarters.

Colonel Waleed Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College, said that the seminar is part of a series of cultural activities that aim to encourage reading under the "Share my Knowledge" initiative. This initiative is intended primarily to enrich cultural and intellectual aspects among the students and staff members of the college, develop the cognitive perceptions of students, and contribute to their development at the academic and professional levels. He noted that this comes in line with the Ministry of Interior’s approach and strategy in mainstreaming and sharing knowledge among the Ministry’s staff members.

During the seminar, the advisor, Dr. Emad Elddien Hussein, an international expert and a certified trainer in organizational excellence, reviewed his book "Zayed and Excellence" in which he tackled the excellence and creativity approach and thoughts of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He also shed light in his book on the impacts of this approach in building the country and its institutions, which is reflected in its evolution at cultural and civilizational levels. He also highlighted the wise leadership’s success in building a civilized nation and a coveted role model, by embracing excellence and creative thinking.

Concluding the seminar, the Director General presented the college shield and a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer. In return, the lecturer offered copies of his book to be deposited within the college library references.
