The General Directorate of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police launched a program titled ‘The Path towards the realization of the Vision’, which aims to enhance communication between the Director General and staff members. This approach provides a positive environment that motivates teamwork between staff members, in a bid to offer high quality services to customers, boost customers’ satisfaction, and maintain police-related gains.

Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Central Operations, explained that the program is based on 3 main themes, which enhance institutional work; notably promoting effective communication through direct and open meetings with staff members; instilling values that positively influence staff members’ behavior and improve performance; and encouraging positive patriotism, which in turn would develop work processes for the public benefit.

Brigadier Al Harithi indicated that the program will include a variety of events, bringing together staff members and the Director General, according to the General Directorate’s agenda for this year, and in line with the Abu Dhabi Police’s vision in this regard. Adding further, he said: “A Creativity Meeting will be organized on a monthly basis, during which the Director General will meet three distinguished employees who submit creative and innovative ideas. In appreciation for their efforts and distinction, distinguished employee will become ‘Guests of Honor’, and will accompany the Director General in his field visits. The Director General and a number of employees will also hold brainstorming sessions to discuss ways to develop and support institutional performance’s enablers.”

An ‘open day’ will also be held between the Director General and staff members as a part of the Central Operations’ Forum. It will include an event aimed at instilling positive patriotism  and happiness, and establishing a future outlook; and will set forth the appropriate interactive framework to reinforce  the Central Operations’ leading role in the service of the  community.

In conclusion, Brigadier Al Harithi said: “The program is a valuable step towards achieving the positive transformation in the work methodology. This would be achieved by motivating staff members, who represent the key pillar of police work, to innovate and excel in their work, so as to ensure the provision of the best services to the public.”
