Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Head of the Permanent Higher Commission for Internal Security, attended the closing ceremony of the three-day training program “Al Hosn 3”, which was organized by the Directorate General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior at the Dubai Police GHQ Officers Club with the participation of 70 officers from the various police GHQs and departments across the country.

A significant number of participants took part in the program, representing the Ministry of Health; the Ministry of Environment and Water; the Ministry of Energy; the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA); the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR); and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

Lt. General Al Sha’far stressed the importance of such training programs that aim to coordinate efforts and partners’ relations; unify work procedures; and develop leaders’ skills in accident and crisis management in accordance with the best international practices and experiences.

Lt. General Al Sha’far also commended the cooperation and collaboration with partners and their valuable participation to the program. He also hailed the efforts made by the Directorate General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior and the teams assigned to prepare the program, and extended his thanks and appreciation for the Dubai Police GHQ for hosting the training program.

For his part, Brigadier Fares Al Farsi, Director General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior and director of the program, said that the training program is a part of the strategy of the Ministry of Interior, which calls for adopting strategic initiatives in accordance with the best practices.

Colonel Dr. Salem Abdullah Al Habsi, from the Directorate General of Central Operations presented a paper addressing the tasks and duties carried out by ministry with respect to internal security operations, in cooperation and coordination with strategic partners.

Towards the end of the program, the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior honored the participants, who represent an elite group of internal security experts from the Ministry of the Interior and the concerned authorities in the country; wishing them further luck and success in their future endeavors.   

The closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Abdul Wahhab Ahmed Al Hajeri, from the Directorate General of Central Operations at the MoI, along with a number of officers at the ministry and representatives from the concerned entities in the country.
