On 26/12/2010 Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has launched a campaign on changing speed limits on the roads of Abu Dhabi Emirate. The campaign aims at highlighting the efforts being exerted by Abu Dhabi Police to provide a safe traffic environment and improve safety standards to keep up with the modern approach being currently followed in the execution of a number of huge development projects and in the expansion of internal and external roads.
The campaign also aims at enhancing the level of public awareness as regards the new speed limits as well the engineering procedures applied including change of traffic signs of new speed limits on the different roads, and change of speed limits on radars spreading on both internal and external roads.
