Abu Dhabi Traffic and Saaed invade Guinness World Records

ADP Traffic and Patrols Department and Saaed for Traffic Systems Company intend to enter Guinness World Records for record achievements in order to break world record for total world participations in fine arts competition, which have assisted in reducing traffic accidents.

Colonel (Engineer) Hussain Ahmed al Harthi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department and chairman of the Board of Directors of Saaed Company said “Due to the large number of participation applications received for the Grand Global Traffic Fine Arts Competition, which is organized under the slogan (Traffic Safety), for the best expressive portrait, of any style, except models. The competition has been announced recently in Medias. A contract has been signed with Guinness to register the competition in their records, so as to have it approved if it has succeeded in breaking world record in terms of total participants”.

Al Harthi presumes that this ‘Contracting” is the first of its kind that a Ministry of Interior breaks Guinness World Records, in the world.

The fine arts grand competition organized by Abu Dhabi Traffic and Saaed Company aims to attract portraits from all over the world and all community segments, of all ages, in order to contribute to curbing the increase in traffic accidents and the resulting financial and social losses.

“Qualified committees have been formed to sort out participants contributions from the Emirates Fine Arts Society. 60 witnesses from different community categories and intellectuals at the country level will participate in signing these artistic contributions. Guinness World Records will resort to three key witnesses for this global event which is the first of its kind. They have already started putting their signatures to documentation and participations register of Guinness World Records.

Al Harthi expects that the number of participants in the Grand Global Traffic Fine Arts Competition organized by Abu Dhabi Traffic and Saaed Company will exceed 150,000. The world record for total number of participants in one competition in Guinness World Record is 141,000. He hopes that they will break this record. He urges interested people to participate in the grand global traffic fine arts competition. This will affect the success of this traffic awareness campaign, locally and internationally.
