Security preparations for FIFA Club World Cup are completed
Al Farsi: Important for sports fans to enjoy the event
Abu Dhabi Police general Headquarters has completed all security procedures for the FIFA Club World Cup (FCWC), which will kick off in December 9th this month. The Championship will continue till 19 of this month in UAE Capital, Abu Dhabi.
An awareness Campaign will be launched tomorrow (Saturday) under the theme "Abu Dhabi Police: One Team. One Goal. Your Safety). The campaign is organized by the Department of Technical Affairs and Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in collaboration with the Security Committee of the event.
The aim of the campaign is to urge the public to follow the guidance and directions of the Security Committee, by use of several means such as field communication, media means, notices, publications and electronic methods.
According to Brigadier Farsi Khalifa Al Farsi, Chairman of the Security Committee of FCWC, Abu Dhabi Police adopts the theme of "Ideal Cheering is exquisite and Civilized), as part of its belief in importance of compliance with security procedures and civilized behavior. The traffic and security strategy which Abu Dhabi Police will implement is based on securing the playing fields and smooth movement of the public and traffic.
Code of Conduct
Al Farsi has stated that a FIFA approved Code of Conduct has been introduced in collaboration with the Security Committee and Local Organizing Committee. He hopes that the public will adhere to these rules:
- Fans and other persons are not allowed to possess, carry or bring the following prohibited items inside the stadium:
- Any type of weapons and sharp tools, whatsoever.
- Any thing that can be used as an offensive weapon, especially long-stick umbrellas, other heavy and confusing tools.
- Polyethylene or glass-made Bottles, cups or cans, volatile substances, rough and solid items, tetra packs, solid cooling boxes or other fragile objects.
- Fire crackers, glaring lights, non-smoke gunpowder, smoke cans, smoke bombs, other fire works, matches, lighters and cigarettes.
- Alcoholic drinks< whatsoever, drugs and stimulants.
- Any objects that represent charitable, ideological or ethnical organizational, for example: sign boards, marks, symbols, booklets, tools and clothing that may distract from the sports aspect of the event.
