Al Ain Police Directorate wins ADP Swimming Championship
Al Ain Police Directorate has won the 10th ADP Short Distance Swimming Championship by achieving (70) points, the Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department Team came second (67 points) and the Special tasks Department won the third place by (47 points).
In individual competition of 50 meter free style results were: Naïf Abdullah from Al Ain Police Directorate won the first place, Zuheir Rashid, from Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department came second and Alaa Al Samlali, from the Special Tasks Department won the third place.
In 50 meter breaststroke, Mohammad Abdullah Mubarak, from Al Ain Police Directorate won the first place while Abdullah Mohammad Salim, from Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department came second and Ahmed Saeed, from Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department came third.
In 50 meter backstroke, Abdullah Al Tayib, from Al Ain Police Directorate won the first place, Alaa Al Samlali won the second place and Jamal Zereiq, from the Special tasks Department came third.
The second part of the 10th Championship was dedicated to 100 meter free style competition. Abdullah Al Tayib, from Al Ain Police Directorate won the first place, while Naïf Abdullah, from Al Ain Police Directorate came second and Abdul Aziz Al Mansouri, from Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department came third.
In 100 meter breaststroke completion, Mohammad Abdullah Al Ghafri, from al Ain Police Directorate won the first place, Abdul Ali Al Hafidh, from the Special tasks Department came second and Saeed Al Rasmi, from Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department won the third place.
In the 4X50m relay at teams' level, Al Ain Police Directorate won the first place, Government and Diplomatic Establishments Department came second and the Special tasks Department won the third place.
Lt. Colonel Aarif Saif Al Shamsi, Head of Sports Activity Section said "The 10th Swimming Championship of Short Distance for ADP GHQ Department Teams represents the peak of the Sport Season 2009/2010..Swimming sport is one of sports that achieve physical fitness. The Department of Clubs and Sports Activities is keen to organize different sports competitions".
Then Lt. Colonel Al Shamsi gave away trophies and prizes to the winners, in the presence of 1st Lt. Ahmed Jabir Al Awadhi, Director of Teams and Competitions Branch.
