Abu Dhabi Police Traffic stresses on community partnership to cut down on traffic accidents
 

Director of Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Brigadier Eng, Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi stressed the importance and the role of the community partnership in cutting accidents and promoting joint efforts to provide safe and sustainable traffic environment.

He added that the responsibility of traffic safety is not restricted to one category in the society, all categories should have a leading role to play in cutting down on traffic accidents.

It has taken into account that the awareness programs of this year must be broad enough to reach all the segments of the community, availing the advanced technologies and modern methods used in entertainment education.

He stated that several awareness publications were published in Arabic, English and Urdu, including 180 booklets titled “road guide”.

For his part, chief of public relations section of Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Major Awadh Saif Al Bloushi pointed out that the traffic awareness exhibition held at the Marina Mall has attracted huge audience from various segments of society, reaching around 10.000 visitors.  

The western region, on the other hand, concluded the activities of the traffic awareness exhibition which was organized as part of the GCC Traffic Week celebrations, with the participation of 27 entities in the western region.

 Chief of Western Region Traffic and Patrols Section, Major Mohsen Bakheet Al Menhali, confirmed that the events have attracted big crowds. 

It is worth noting that the Western Region Traffic and Patrols Section at Abu Dhabi Police is implementing a full traffic awareness strategy throughout the current year comprising 12 campaigns. These campaigns are meant to intensify awareness programs though various media outlets and organize lectures and exhibition in addition to the daily radio traffic bulletin which urge motorists to obey traffic rules.
