Students Delegation from Al Ain University visits CID department
A delegation of 40 students from the Faculty of Law at Al Ain University of Sciences and Technology visited the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of ADP Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs, to review its scientific methods adopted in security tasks.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hamadi, director of CID has received during the visit Dr. Mahmood Abdul Hakam, Acting Dean of the Faculty and the delegation where he has briefed them on ADP approaches and its Leadership vision of development process and the necessity to keep pace with modern technologies and to employ it in crime combat.
Al Hamadi has also reviewed the development plans of the Department manpower, where they are sent abroad to attend specialized course of training. The Department uses the latest technologies in examination and analysis of samples recovered from crime scenes. He has explained to them how the Forensic laboratories received international accreditation and the specific standards and specifications required for it.
He has affirmed the importance of such visits in allowing the students to understand the stages that the samples go through until the submission of the final report to the Prosecution Department and the Court to support justice process.ADP always welcomes students as they will be the future men.
The students accompanied by Lt. Aarif Omer Al Zubeidi, The Visit Programme Coordinator and Fayza Al Marzouqi, Head of Media Unit acquainted themselves with the tasks of Poisons, Drugs, Bio-criminal and documents examination laboratories through the detailed explanations delivered by CID experts.
