A delegation from the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi was briefed on the client service experience at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Abu Dhabi, in addition to its applicable procedures and regulations.

Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Abu Dhabi Residency and Foreigners Affairs Director General, met Khadija Al Amoudi, Head of Client Services and Chairperson of the Department of Transport delegation, today at the General Directorate.

Colonel Al Zaabi welcomed the delegation and said that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs is committed to enhancing cooperation and collaboration with local departments and institutions by sharing its experiences and expertise to develop performance and deliver the best services to its clients.

The delegation was briefed on the organizational chart of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, its departments, sections, and branches as well as its tasks and duties. They learned about the General Directorate’s role in preparing human resources in addition to the services it provides to its clients.

The visitors were also updated on future plans that aim to provide the best services, facilitate procedures, carry out transactions quickly, and provide a high-class service that will exceed clients’ expectations and fulfill the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs’ strategy. They also attended an explanation on current systems at the General Directorate, including the complaints, suggestions, and opinion collection system and client services system.


The delegation toured the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs visiting the typing centers, client services center, the entry and residency permit department, naturalization department, and information and follow-up department where they were briefed on the workflow, procedures, and systems used to provide distinguished services to clients.

Colonel Yussef Khouri, Deputy Director General; Colonel Salim Al Ameri, Head of External Offices Department; Lieutenant Colonel Jamal Hareb Al Zaabi, Head of Entry and Residency Permit Department; and a number of officers at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Abu Dhabi, were present during the meeting.
