The Police Academy celebrated the graduation of 29 officers from four courses this morning at Al Ittihad Hall. The courses were titled:  Meetings Management, Comprehensive Quality Control in Police Work, Excellence in Customer Service, and Preparation of Organizational Structures and Job Description- no.1. The courses are organized by the Officers Training Institute for officers from different general departments and directorates in the Ministry of Interior. The graduation ceremony was held in the presence of department directors and division heads of the Police Academy and the Officers Training Institute.

Brigadier Hamad Adel Al Shamsi, Director General of Correctional and Punitive Establishments at the Ministry of Interior, reasserted the Ministry’s enthusiasm on the preparation and qualification of human resources to develop their ability to take responsibility. Human resources are considered to be the basis of the development process. The brigadier encouraged the graduates to work hard and benefit from education in these courses so that they can carry out their tasks with high performance, and he wished them luck and success.

Colonel Ali Abdulla Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of the Police Academy, pointed out that these specialized courses contribute to raising the level of competence and performance of police and security members. He added that the academy focused on preparing integrated courses that create balance between scientific consolidation and developmental requirements of the police sciences in order to suit the actual requirements of the different sectors in the Ministry of Interior.

Major Abdulla Saeed Sebaa, Acting Director of Officers Training Institute, clarified that the two courses,  Meetings Management and Comprehensive Quality Control in Police Work aim to develop knowledge of the members regarding management of meetings, types of meetings, meetings negativities , and methods to resolve them. The courses also aim to enhance the members’ skills regarding comprehensive quality control concepts and focus on comprehensive quality basis to provide the best services and outputs.

He added: “The courses, Excellence in Client Service and Preparation of Organizational Structures and Job Description / no.1, aim to develop the members’ skills regarding excellence in client servicing, build distinctive relations with the clients, enhancing their knowledge and capabilities with regard to preparing organizational structures, in addition to developing and preparing job descriptions of different positions.”

The members received a number of theoretical and practical lectures, in addition to participating in group discussions, role playing, brainstorming, mini sessions, and watching enriching videos that simulate reality.
