Women police trainees graduated from Qualification for Promotion Course
Women Police of ADP GHQ celebrated the graduation of trainees who attended a qualification for promotion course at the Police women Qualification and Training Section in Abu Dhabi. 19 policewomen from different Departments of ADP and the Ministry of Interior attended the course in preparation for promotion to the rank of Warrant Officer.
The ceremony was attended by Colonel Waleed Salim Al Shamsi, Director of Police Schools Department, Lt. Colonel Salim Nasseeb Al Shamsi, Head of Trainees Affairs Section, 1st Lt. Shamma Al Miheiri, Head of Women Police Training and Qualification Section and a number of officers.
1st Lt Shamma said “The trainees received military and academic training for six weeks. Military training included training on weapons and shooting. They were also given lectures on policing sciences and law”.
The 19 trainees were from the Security and Ports Affairs Department, Correctional and Punitive Establishments Department, Police Schools Department, CID, Legal Affairs Department, Community Police Department, Ministry of Interior, Personnel Affairs Department and the Western region Police Directorate.
