The Punitive Reformatory Establishments Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of the sixth batch of the specialized training course. This comes in line with the specialized training initiative, on methods of dealing with detainees and convicts, organized at the Specialized Institute at the Department in Al Wathba.

Colonel Mohammed Saeed Al Zaabi, Director of the Punitive Reformatory Establishments at ADP indicated that the course, which spanned over six weeks, focused on training and rehabilitating police staff on dealing with detainees and convicts. This step aims to enable them to perform their duties, as per the Abu Dhabi Police strategy; to enhance the skills and raise the level of competence of police staff in all sections.

Al Zaabi commended the good response of participants with the programs of the course, pointing out that their apparent ability to assimilate and their distinguished performance in the practical training had a noticeable effect on the success of the course.

For their part, the graduates praised the efficiency of the trainers, and the topics of the course, which contributed to raise their level of performance and professionalism.

The course focused on the key requirements of work at the punitive reformatory establishments in various circumstances, and the various responsibilities in dealing with inmates, and the security of the establishment.

The course included practical and theoretic specializations, to ensure the proper dealing with inmates regardless of their various cultures.
