Major General Obeid Al Hairi Al Ketbi, Deputy General Commander of the Abu Dhabi Police honored Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations by awarding him the Abu Dhabi Police General Commander Shield for his Department’s achievements in the field of sports for the year 2011.
The ceremony, which was held at the Park Hyatt Hotel, was attended by director generals in the Abu Dhabi Police and a number of officers.
Major Mohammed Hussein Al Khouri, Head of the Sports Committee in the Police Operations General Department, said: “The Department acquired first place by achieving the highest total of points in the Abu Dhabi Police General Commander Shield Championship. The Department’s teams won the first place in the road race, second place in tug-of-war game, in addition to the swimming and football contests.”
