UAE to have unified traffic system soon
His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior has directed the concerned departments to implement the strategically developed unified traffic system for the entire emirates.
Brigadier Ahmed Nasir Al Raisi, Director General of the Central operations department at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police said that, the Minister of Interior has directed the traffic departments of all the emirates to speed up the implementation which will not only help enhance better coordination between different departments and also data processing of vehicles registration, renewal of licenses, paying fines and providing all other traffic related services. He said.
The implementation of the unified traffic system was commenced in March 2006 in Abu Dhabi and it is almost complete. the system is being connected to other emirates The unified system will act as one stop solution for all the traffic related services which will make the services to the public easy and efficient, said Brigadier Al Raisi.the implementation is monitored by Major General Saif Al Shafaar, Under secretary to the Ministry of Interior, Lt.Gen.Dhahi Khalfan Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, said Brigadier Al Raisi.
On completion of the unification of the system, all the traffic related issues can be handled from any part of the emirate and all activities will be electronically operated as a single unit making it very convenient for the public added Al Raisi.
