H.E Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior met on Monday with Jordanian Public Security Director, Lt. General Hussein Hazza Al Majali in Oman. During the meeting, both officials discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the various fields of police and security work between the UAE and Jordan, as well as a number of topics of mutual interest.

H.E Lieutenant General Saif Al Sha’far praised the distinguished and advanced level attained by Jordanian Public Security Directorate in the various areas of police work, lauding its constant endeavor to develop performance to cope with police and security changes.

He also noted that the UAE has often relied on the Jordanian experience in a number of areas of police work; emphasizing the need to achieve more cooperation and exchanging experience and police knowledge between both countries.

Al Sha’far accompanied with Major General Sheikh Taleb bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ras Al Khaimah Police and members of the delegation were briefed by the director of the Planning Department at the Public Security Directorate, on the tasks and functions of the Public Security departments and units. They also reviewed the various statistics in the various police and security fields.

During the meeting held in his office, Lt. General Hussein Hazza Al Majali commended the long-standing police, training and security cooperation between both countries, which coincided with a significant development in UAE and Jordanian law enforcement agencies. Concluding, Al Majali highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise and experience between both countries to attain the distinguished levels in security and police work, to achieve mutual Arab security cooperation.
