Two officers from the UAE Search and Rescue Team participated as judges in the international classification of the Omani Search and Rescue Team in Muscat, Oman.

The International Rescue Committee requested the assistance of two judges from the UAE Search and Rescue Team to participate in the international classification of the Omani Search and Rescue team, since the UAE has the only team authorized in the MENA region in this field.

The team responsible for judging the Omani team exam, which included two sections, search and rescue, and medical services was headed by Lieutenant Adel Rashid Al Yamahi, and joined by Lieutenant Mohammed Jassim Al Hosani, Lieutenant Adnan Al Mahri, and Lieutenant Civil Doctor Riyad Shalgam.

Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations said: “This cooperation between the UAE Search and Rescue Team and the GCC countries search and rescue teams is in line with the directives of Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to exchange expertise in this new field, and prepare a staff of judges from the UAE in the field of international classification, in addition to benefiting from the experience of other teams in preparation for the coming classification for the UAE Search and Rescue teams; Heavy category .”
