Symposium concluded making security recommendations ‎

The two day Scientific Symposium on the Social and Security impacts of internet which ‎began yesterday at the ministry of interior conclude with presentation of more papers on ‎the topic by the experts and making recommendations for resolving the social and ‎security issues involved.‎

The symposium was organized by the Center for research and security studies at the ‎General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, under the Patronage of His highness ‎Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior

The day’s   sessions were chaired by Brigadier Matter al Niyadi and Colonel Jassim al ‎Marzouki, where social implications of the internet were the theme and paper on the ‎impact of internet on the family in the UAE was presented by Ustaza Marium al Munziri.‎

Mrs. Ethel Quayle of Ireland presented a paper on protection of children from computer ‎crimes.Melin Nicolov from Etisalat academy spoke about the destructive effects of ‎electronic hacking and Dayan Martin from Zayed University spoke about the controlling ‎of International web.‎

Mr. Peter Grabosky from Australia spoke about the international dimensions of computer ‎crimes and Mr. Terry De Level of France touched upon the French experience in the ‎information technology security and of computer crimes.‎

Noriyoshi Takemura from Japan spoke about their experience in the surveillance of space ‎electronic crimes and Major Barakat Yacoub al Kindi presented a paper on internet ‎applications at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, the facts, problems and the ‎future.‎

The closing session was chaired by Major General Saeed Obaid al Marzouki and Colonel ‎Nagam Abdalla al Housani. The session discussed the recommendations of the experts ‎and the future course of action with regard to the security and social issues related to the ‎internet. Mementos, Certificates and Awards were given to the participants.‎
