South African Ambassador Visits the Information technology department at the General directorate

The south African Ambassador counsel Mr Dikang Moubilo paid a visit to the department of information technology to see the latest technological applications and systems adopted by the department to enhance the internal security requirements of the country.

He also discussed with Col Ahemed Nasir Al Raisi, director of the IT Department, about various issues related to security matters, who explained the latest technology used especially the iris technology in preventing crime and criminal investigation .

Emirates is the first country in the region to use this technology. The adoption of this technology will speed up criminal investigations, stop infiltration and provide useful information’s to various departments and patrols and provide useful assistance in enhancing the security measures, he said.

They have also discussed about possibilities of cooperation in the fields of information technology and exchange experience and important information’s regarding security matters that is of mutual interest
