Major General Mattar Salim bin Meseid Al Niyadi, Director General of Electronic Services and Telecommunications, met in his office Engineer Ahmed Sarhan, Technical Supervisor in the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, the members of the technical committee of Sheikh Zayed Modern Communication System of member countries, and specialized security offices of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
Major General al-Niyadi praised the technical committee for its efforts to finalize the activation of the new system, and prepare the required infrastructure for it. He stressed the keenness of the UAE to support Arab cooperation environment that His Highness Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan President of the UAE has set its rules and principles. He noted that we are still harnessing the fruits of this cooperation through the continuous support of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in financing this modern communication system.
Major Yasser Mohamed Ibrahim al-Wahabi, Director of the Electronic Infrastructure Department, and President of Sheikh Zayed Modern Communication System Activation Technical Committee, said that the system functions in an active work environment, and allows member state to effectively exchange and update data and information.
He added that UAE, represented by the Ministry of Interior, is the first and leading Arab country to apply and activate this system.
