Sheikh Saif inspects advanced vehicles and equipments
received by Abu Dhabi Police for rescue operations
His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior visited the rescue and operations department of the General headquarters of Abu Dhabi police and inspected the newly received advanced vehicles and equipments which will be commissioned for the rescue and emergency operations by rescue and rapid action departments.
Eight such vehicles with advanced equipments and rescue operational capabilities have been brought from Germany .The vehicles, cranes and equipments will help the emergency operations such as fire disasters, industrial hazards handling, handling of chemical hazards, protecting of firemen from heat and operations in high rise buildings on the event of fire and evacuation requirements. This is the second lot of such vehicles put under various rescue operations by the Abu Dhabi police.
The operational capabilities of the vehicles under emergency conditions was briefed to Sheikh Saif by Brigadier Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of the central operations department, Brigadier Khalid Abdul Latif Al Dosari, Director of the rapid action department and Lt.Col.Mohammed Al Noumi head of the rescue department and Manfred Wilkens, head of the executive team of the rapid action and rescue section of the civil defense department at the General headquarters of Abu Dhabi police.
The additions of such high tech vehicles and equipments will enhance the rescue and emergency operational capabilities of the Abu Dhabi police and will continue to upgrade our operational abilities on a continuous basis , said the Minister
