Sheikh Saif attends international civil defence day activities

Interior minister, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended today activities marking the International Day for the Civil Defence. The ceremony was held here at the Abu Dhabi Intercontinental Hotel under the theme: "Civil Defence and the Safety of People with Special Needs".
In a statement, Sheikh Saif said the UAE's wise leadership attaches great importance to what he described as "technical empowerment" of all personnel of the state security apparatus, particularly those tasked with taking good care of the safety and security of the general public, adding that the state provide for them the best tools, modern technology and continuous moral booster to motivate them to be more creative and innovative for more development.
Sheikh Saif, accompanied by a number of senior officers, toured the exhibition held on the fringe of the ceremony and called for more efforts and hard work to develop all what would lead to achieving the safety of the society, particularly, people with special needs, in view of the obstacles they face more often than others.
